FINCA Microfinance Bank has teamed up with Airtel to provide mobile money transfer services to their customers.

FINCA Customers will no longer have to travel or walk to branches of the bank for banking services for they can now use their cellular phone to get the services after introduction of FINCA Mobile and Airtel Money.

The Airtel Money Marketing Officer, Mr Steven Kimea, said in Dar es Salaam that the new service will enable customers of the telecom firm to transfer money from their Finca Microfinance Bank account and vice versa at any time.

“Airtel will continue improving its service to meet the demand of its customers by partnering with different institutions to facilitate their day-to-day activities,” he said after signing the agreement with the financial institution.

The FINCA Microfinance Bank Regional Manager, Ms Sarah Daffa, pointed out that the move will facilitate the bank to reach more customers countrywide.

“This will greatly help customers as FINCA Mobile and Airtel Money are time saving, secure, more convenient, easy to use while giving customers a huge freedom on conducting transactions,” she said.

Ms Daffa pledged that the bank will continue providing customer focused financial services which were mainly designed to alleviate poverty and improve the living of standard of their customers.

“The customers will be able to do as many transactions with no limit at anytime anywhere as long as they are registered to FINCA Mobile and Airtel Money and have active accounts,” she noted.

Airtel Tanzania Customer Relations Manager, Mr Jackson Mmbando, said the service was the value addition to its customers and it was aimed at providing more secure service to its customers.

“We realize that Finca Microfinance Bank now offers a wide range of financial services. We want them to get most secure and affordable mobile money transfer service across the country,” he said.
